Stonehenge Winter Solstice 2022- any tips
« on: 20 December, 2022, 10:06:43 pm »
Inspired by last year's live stream of the Solstice at Stonehenge I will be there this Thursday morning-

So  far this means getting up very early, we are staying in Salisbury,  arriving at the car park at about 6  and then waiting  for  sunsrise @ 8.04.

Has any one else been or is planning to go?

Any advice or tips on how to get the best out of it

I shall be celebrating the solstice tomorrow with My Pal Jon. We will be going for a large cooked breakfast on the sea front somewhere.

Take an offering , ........an apple or 2 to cut in half, or some  Holly and Ivy and other dried stems or flower heads, bound together, that kind of thing, oh and take some Mead and some rustic bread, and a few plastic cups, to share around. Dipping the bread in the icy cold Mead is wonderful, try it. Enjoy it, open your heart and your mind.  We had ours on Saturday, at Coldrum Stones.

I shall celebrate by being in bed.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.
