I feel cheated; only two photos of your left foot!

I like the way your discreet, minimalist bivvy has a hi-viz flag...

Had a red kite in a tree just above head height when riding the Ridgeway a few years back.

Safety first 😉.
I would like to try one of your bivvy trips Oscars dad. You seem to find some interesting off road  :)

You’d be most welcome. We probably won’t do anymore until spring.

Cycleman on the Ridgeway 2 years ago. Later that day we stopped for provisions in a village shop and while we were preparing to leave we met the village idiot psychopath.

Going for the Mildly Inappropriate Bike award there.  I think the only bit of Ridegway I've cycled is the section from Watlington to Lewknor.  On a Brompton.  That was cycleman's fault, too.

About 25 years ago one bright, cold February morning I drove to Streatley with young son and bikes, and we rode west on the Ridgeway. After a while the track thawed in the sun and it became harder and harder to cycle on the soft chalky mud. Eventually, on our attempt to return, son's bike completely clogged up. I left him and struggled back to the car, fortunately 4wd, and then drove back to pick him up. There weren't any traffic restrictions on the byway then, luckily.

Bits of it IME from Watlington to somewhere south of Swindon are great. Bits of it are heavily rutted, for instance immediately above Uffington White Horse. I quite fancy doing the whole lot of it one day, in one go, on foot. Cos its easier for the ruts.
