Back again after re-fit from storm damage, the Harwich Foot Ferry starts this Monday, very cycle friendly and adds a nice twist on a day ride.

Not to be confused with the Bawdsey Ferry, which is shut until April, then weekends only until May.
Any fool can admire a mountain.  It takes real discernment to appreciate the fens.

Unless you're on a tandem  ;)

Used to commute on that once.  I would cycle 8 miles to Harwich, put my bike on the MV Brightlingsea  and after disembarkation, cycle another mile through the docks to work.  Winter, not so much.

Sometimes we would rendezvous with a tug in mid-harbour so they could take documents out to whatever ship they were looking after.  That could be a bit hairy.
