Find one with a sleep stop? Hoping to put this on again next year: https://www.audax.uk/event-details/11319-summertime_blues
I'd highly recommend Deans 400, but I'm not impartial or there is my Border Nights 400 with a 3pm start and a food/Sleep TLC stop at 228km this years event here www.audax.uk/event-details/10703-border_nights . Next years event is in process of being published but should be on 24/5/25, it's usually popular.
No point in making life hard for yourself

If that was going the other way round it would be ideal for a comfort stop at my parents, in Kirkby Stephen

They wouldn’t mind all the random audaxers stopping there?

Central is good.
Walnut Tree or even give the Beehive one more try?
Beer garden would be nice.

Though good if busy (Morris Men?) the Walnut Tree is often deathly quiet, so I think I'd prefer to try the Beehive.

He also indicates what the solution is for those who's machines are stuck. Namely Boot in safe mode and then delete the new configuration files.

Or, more accurately, the solution for the administrators who look after those whose machines are stuck.

End users in corporates (who are the ones most likely to have Crowdstrike on their PCs), typically don't (and shouldn't) have access to Safe Mode).

Glad it went well. To this day, I find that it's the rides where I've earnt an ice cream to be the most satisfying :)

I used to work on services on telephone exchanges. Upgrades were a long, expensive process. But not that frequent.

These days, I'm somewhere more webby and agile. There's still testing! Also not a Microsoft shop or a synchronised updates place. Which helps in this case.
