Take Good Care of your Gyrfalcons Folks.

It seems that people are becoming a bit careless with their Gyrfalcons these days. Two have been lost. One lost near Swindon has been recovered thankfully.  The other , lost in North London , is still at large but has apparently been seen and photographed in and around Southend.

It has been reported round here in the past few days, including some photos. it was on the sea front in Thorpe Bay a couple of days ago, apparently, being mobbed by crows.

According to the londonbirders website there have been another two recent sightings of a Gyrfalcon, one at Crossness on Monday, and the other sighting at Rainham Marshes RSPB today.
