Utter filth

A thread for revolting commuter bikes.  This is my Inbred, which hasn't been washed since Easter 2010.

Note that the V-brake noodle is allegedly stainless steel.  The RH fork leg is clean 'cos that's where I pick up the bike to hang it on its hooks in the garage.

But the ceramic rim is holding up just fine.

This used to say Goldtec somewhere.

I'm quite proud of the tidemark.

Mavic just about shines through at the rear.  You can see here the sheer pointlessness of tyres with reflective sidewalls; they don't stay reflective for long if the bike is in regular use.

Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

Not a commuter, but that's no excuse - repeated from the Fettling thread, my Pompino.

I've got to clean some gunge off the tandem tomorrow. I don't think it's quite in Chris S's Pomp's league, but Roger's bike looks pretty clean to me.

Roger, my geared bike with triple looked worse than that when I cleaned it last week! I can even tell that your chain is made from metal and not brown mud  :o

I reckon my best bike is dirtier than that.

... The RH fork leg is clean 'cos I forgot to Photoshop the dirt on that bit.
You are in a maze of twisty flat droves, all alike.

OK, what have you done with the real Rogerzilla?

I had to chop the front off the mudguard to allow room for the tyre under the brake. This ensures that the front end gets covered in crap when the roads are wet. I'll be getting skinnier tyres and new guards next time!

Hey, at least I'm considerate enough to put some cardboard down to spare the carpet. ;)

I think the whole lot is going to get stripped down this year - new headset and bottom bracket, and a damn good clean!
