Recommend a bike shop or mechanic in Rotherhithe
« on: 16 May, 2024, 03:23:00 pm »
Hi Folks ...can the good people of this parish recommend a good bike shop / mechanic in, or very close to, Rotherhithe, London.  My daughter is looking for someone to service a second hand bike she has just bought and would also be able to supply and fit mudguards, rack etc.

thanks!

My favourite Aussie, who lives in Rotherhithe, takes her bikes to Condor.
I'm not aware of Rotherhithe having any bike shops - but I stand to be corrected.

ETA - There's Cycles UK in Deptford who are probably a bit less spendy than Condor.
I've bought stuff from them before but not had them do any work for me.

I have no idea how good they are for repairs but Decathlon at Surrey Quays is very near to Rotherhithe, so could be worth a try. I suspect it is possible to go in and talk to a real person.

Decathlon's workshop is a bit meh in my experience.

Parts and Labour is a good independent LBS in New Cross (which can be reached by train if the bike isn't rideable yet).
