Well, that’s a cracking start.

Glaston-berry! 🤘

I had everything crossed for Rick Astley joining the Churnups on stage, but the universe wasn’t quite in alignment. Maybe next year…

Check out The Pretenders, Chrissie Hynde looking and going well.  Plus guests Johnny Marr and a 1 number sesh from a Big Drummer.  👍

She sounds incredible for a 71-year-old. And the band are so tight. Such a contrast to Generation Sex and their crap pub rock band shtick.

Also: Rick Astley doing the Smiths was brilliant.

Guns N' Roses performing, but not interacting with the crowd, just watch us... No c'mon join in like Rick Astley, Sharleen, Lewis et al.  Missing a trick with a festival crowd.

I gave up just after Live and Let Die.

I’m now catching up on Blossoms and Rick Astley’s Smiths set. Excellent so far 🙂

Arrived back late, and gave G&Rs a go - 10min was enough, also on Rick & Blossom's Smiths now.

GnR eventually warmed up enough to be decent - and Dave Grohl did yet another guest spot, which was nice.

Raye, earlier, was fabulous. Tom Grennan was worth a watch. Missed Rick doing the Smiths, even though I knew about it - must pick that up.

Edited to fix iPhone substitution of ‘Brennan’ for ‘Grennan’!

Just been reading about Billy Nomates getting online abuse after the BBC shared a clip of her set on their socials.

FFS.

She’s a great singer with great songs. And even if she weren’t, that doesn’t give anyone the excuse to be an arsehole.

I despair of people.

Dave Grohl did yet another guest spot

Do the bands get any say in this or does he just impose himself on them? ;D

I think he probably just hangs around backstage and waits to be invited on! He just loves playing music, I don’t think it’s an ego thing. He’s just having fun - and, as he’s a bloody good musician, he adds something to everyone he plays with.

Picked up both of these just now. Chrissy Hynde was sublime - and yet more Dave Grohl!

Frankly, Morrisey ought to be out of a job. Rick Astley really does the Smiths' songs justice. it's great to hear them done by someone who a) can sing b) loves the songs and c) loves the audience.

Perhaps Glasto should be renamed the Rick and Dave show!
