I don't know why I didn't think of this before. I like the old Cateye Compact Opticubes, but always found them prone to slipping around the handlebar when hitting the slightest bump...
opticube hackRemoved the rubber bit that was supposed to prevent slippage and glued one side of velcro to the handlebar and the other to where the rubber bit had been. Also took the time to add a strip of old inner tube to the strap to make the clamping more snug.
Hey presto - no slipping light.
