T20 World Cup 2024

Today's game even had Mrs CET glued to her seat.  One of Dallas's greatest ever sporting spectacles.  All credit to the ICC to allowing more teams into the tournament so that games like this could have been played.

Had to go to a beacon lighting event, so didn't see the last 5 overs (well, 6, I suppose...)
It is simpler than it looks.

I'm guessing Pakistan v United States of Asia?

Indeed.

The last 5 + 2 overs had soap opera, Royal Opera House, Panto, and fantasy epics all rolled into one.

One of my sporting ambitions was to run a bye when the keeper took the ball, and the USA managed this three times in their super over.

There is a lovely story on Cricinfo about the Saurabh Netravalkar who bowled the super-over.

Ireland v Pakistan,

A quick glance indicates that Ireland have a Tractor, a Trucker and a Campervan - but it's Pakistan who are motoring.

No-one seems to have noticed that Afghanistan beat Australia.
