The Soubitez was (IIRC) an imitation of the slightly more substantial Sanyo Dynapower - which I had 1980-82. The Soubitez didn't last long (salt) and it slipped like buggery. I went back to a bottle dynamo.Mounting it on the brake bridge sounds like a much better plan than under the BB

I wondered about fitting one to a front rack, with a cut out in the mudguard for the dynamo 'wheel' to operate through, and providing some protection from the elements. I never got around to doing it, but the dynamo is still around here somewhere. It may well be a Soubitez one.

Waiting for the kitchen floor to dry, and wondering what's best for getting bike muck off the lino
Ta. I'd tried mopping it with extra Milton, which helped...

Survived a humungous storm las night with minimal dampness. However, we were eaten alive by mosquitos, and I've broken a tooth this morning eating an incongruous doughnut. Bugger.
Trying to work out how to space the bannister spindles on a staircase. The distance means I can't space them the same as the other bannister's spindles and have the same space at the posts. Should I reduce the overall spacing or keep it the same but leave smaller gaps at the ends?I've finished finding out that I bought the wrong nails for the joist hangers I am using. They are 2 cm longer than the tables specify which hopefully is an error in the right direction as the shop is 50 miles away and only had one size anyway. Going to take a lot of hammering in though These are all quite normal problems..
It doesn’t matter where you start. Just start.
