I've just been out to check that my sis can get her car into our garage, which has a superfluous guinea pig hutch in it.

I can't help noticing that today there is a gentle NE breeze, which blows the fragrance from Southend's sewage works directly back into the town.

Singularly failing to resist eating all of the Pontefract Cakes I singularly failed to resist buying on my visit to Witham's new sweetshop earlier.   :-\ nomnomnom  ;D

Listening to my daughter who is in full-on rabbit mode, having consumed too much wine. I, of course, am sensibly sober(ish). Mrs n is doing very well at responding with suitable stuff to keep her going. Class entertainment.  ;D
There's no vibrations, but wait.

On the other hand, I'm now patting myself on the back over my self control in opening neither the Madeira nor the Port (that we purchased today for Christmas visitors).

Maundering around, jet-lagged, wondering whether it's too early to get Beckettian on Anthea's newborn thread.

I also found time to cut up the orange cellophane from a Jaffa Cakes box and stick it inside the glass panels of the porch light.  That should tone down the CFL glare and make it look a bit more seasonal.

C'mon! That's got to be worth at least 20 points on its own!

Watching Mars Attacks. I always forget just how many stars are in this movie .

Annette Bening: "How dare you drink in front of me?!"
Jack Nicholson: "You're an adult, just cope."

Listening to
Beatles For Sale:the Beatles
With The Beatles:the Beatles
The Difinitive Collection:Four Tops

on my new Sony VA10 SR51MF/S.

I have taken a loooong time deciding which laptop to have.Santa said to have this one today.

The CD's are to replace albums stolen some years ago when we were burgled.I only need "Please Pleas Me" to have a complete Beatles collection again.I see that Beatles albums are, finally,no longer top dollar in the shops.Down to £9 each now:they used to be £16-ish.
