Knee heading for repacement Knee braces?
« on: 11 December, 2015, 08:07:10 pm »
Ok so I have a left knee which is attached to a femur which in turn was broken aged 10 and set with an outward turn of my left foot which at feet together points out some 45 degrees.

The right side of my left femur is missing a pretty big amount of what should be there and was operated on back in 87 and again last year. My current consultant who is considered pretty good (does footballers knees... premier level) says I am heading towards a partial replacement.

I am getting pains in positions that are new. Newly painful if you get me. And I have read the use of a knee brace can help a lot says new research at least.

Can anyone with practical experience of a brace recommend one?

45 degrees?  Why didn't they have another go at the femur?
