Apple Mac - sending photos in email
« on: 09 November, 2011, 11:25:19 am »
I am trying to email photos but they are only being embedded in the email and not attached. As a result the recipient can only view them. I realise before I send them that it is not going to work as the file name does not appear. Any ideas please? Thanks.

The recipient ought to be able to download them (they're attached really). Anyway, rather than argue with contrary mail clients it may help to the do the following in Mail:

Edit > Attachments > Always Send Windows-Friendly Attachments

After attaching the photo, right click on it and select "View as icon".

(As ian said, there's no particular need to do this: the recipient should have no problem downloading embedded photos, by right clicking and selecting "Save As...". But it's nice to know how to do it.)
