What a night/day! Very challenging conditions overnight to stay warm but super thankful for the lack of wind and rain. Cycling by moonlight feels like what this Audax is all about so it was incredible to get that opportunity. We left in the last group, cars were iced over by the time we got to Bath. Descended in to beard icicles, frozen front mechs and water bottles from there. Successful 20 minute nap in a plastic chair at the scout hut, sent us on to go through some dark places around 180km in. Pushed through to the services and things felt better from there.
Great to ride with lots of new faces and many many many thanks to Will and all the volunteers for running such a tight ship - death by cake at Salisbury and a very swift jacket potato at Lilliput were very much needed.
