Bloody hell I'm an antisocial sod with no identifying gait or cadence. I've never seen anyone and no one's ever seen me. I did meet a few people on rides on the distant past - but that was another life, other forums.

Surely I can't be the only NCR Route 2 yacf commuter. I say hi to everyone but they're grumpy sods on the counter commute and, presumably, just think I'm mad now.
Our paths have probably crossed at some point, given your proximity to Pompey. We just don't know it..

A man by the name of spacebadger introduced himself at Warmley station cafe (Bristol to Bath cycle path).
His wife had just finished the Warmley Forest Park 10k. I think.

Steph, going towards Crawley as I went t'other way.   I executed an exuberant and slightly reckless U turn, gaining some grumpiness from a bus driver. We (Steph and I) chatted for a while and I directed her to the Evans Warehouse Clearance Sale across the way.

The bus driver actually stopped down the road, as if trying to decide whether to get out and 'ave a go!'

We were then joined by my friend John, on his Super Galaxy, and the warehouse sale provided half-price cleats. Then on into Crawley by way of a new little path Tim had spotted, and without realising (shift work) it is Saturday. Oh dear.

Clarion, butterfly and the little duck, in our house, eating food and being generally good company. Thanks for getting up the ladder, Clarion!

^^I have to wonder what Crinkly Lion's walls are made of.  ???^^

Must have been an interesting conversation.
"Nice day, isn't if?"
"Yes. Nice bike you've got there."
"Thanks. I'm Ian, by the way."
"Nice to meet you. My name's Spacebadger."

My spot – perhaps – someone looking remarkably like JonB dashing down the Gloucester Rd on a Brompton about an hour ago. Seems like the wrong place for him and I wasn't aware he had a Brommie, but it did look like him!

It's the bathroom wall, and those are Early Learning Centre (and somewhere else I can't remember) foam bath letters on the tiled wall above the bath - they stick with water.  Original authentic Cristal "chicken" tiles I'll have you know.  Well, apart from the cheapo blue B&Q ones underneath, which were my 'temporary' fix (and my first ever attempt at tiling) to the gaping hole left when we ripped off the cracked faded nasty plastic splashback the day we moved in to the Den, in October 2000...

I can confirm that while the rotation of the tiles in CrinklyLion's bathroom isn't consistent, they don't appear to spell out a coded message.

(This is the sort of thing IBS sufferers notice when they've got bored of reading the label on the bleach.)

You didn't try and scan it with a barcode reader, did you?

I have the coded message.  ;D

Foam bath letters? That's a new one to me! I'd assumed they were ye goode olde magneticke fridge letters, so I was wondering about steel walls. Which would probably be good for a secret underground bunker...

Um, I was wearing a yacf jersey. It sort of went from there

but I like the comedic potential of introducing yourself to random strangers by being very odd indeed.

Ah, not me I'm afraid Cudz ... no brommie and whilst I don't necessarily consider the Gloucester Road as the 'wrong place' it's not where I was yesterday.

Likewise, I listen to Farming Today in bed if I wake up before the alarm goes off.  I find it gently interesting.
I've just downloaded DocSquid et al.  Again, interesting stuff.

Two riders, one in a red YACF jersey passed us somewhere near Elsenham/Ugley area on Sunday. Mrs Trekker and I were on a short tour of Essex/Cambridgeshire so were carrying panniers.

An exchange of pleasantries and only as you departed I noticed the YACF jersey so didn't get a chance to introduce myself.
