My Canon ip7250 printer, after several years, and needless to say, just after I'd bought a fresh set of XL ink cartridges for it, has decided it has a fault. Decoding it says, "fault - unplug printer and contact service centre"
I'm assuming this is their way of saying "its buggered, mate, buy a new one, please see our range of exciting new printers that all use different inks to the ones you've just paid good money for."
its a repeated flashing orange light, and it just stopped halfway through a sheet of paper. Nothing will convince it to do otherwise. Shit.
I think its time to see if there are any other photo/general purpose printers out there that do auto duplex. Canon only seem to do 3 in 1's these day, which is a bit silly because I've got a perfectly good Canon scanner sat the other side of the PC, which a 3 in 1 could not replace, as I need it for negative scanning up to at least 6x9 as well as high res flatbed stuff. I can't afford a specialist photo printer these days, as I is skint, wot with buying a house and spending nearly 5 months in temporary housing thanks to lying vendors, etc.
