Author Topic: Another "how to" Mac question. How to find a folder to "save as" to please?  (Read 1153 times)

I have downloaded some docs.  I created a folder to put them in first. Now I click on File>Save as and I get a dialogue box.

That dialogue box has a a default of "downloads". I don't want it there, so I click on the arrow to expand. It lists "favorites" and "recents".  Oh, and "devices". The folder I want is not visible - how do I select it as the storage location please?

Scratch that - clicking next to the file name to change it allows me to navigate to where I want. I need to practice more!

I found that dialogue very confusing the first time I used it.

I have Downloads in my dock, with the fan display option, for quick access to the most recent downloads. It's quite neat.
