I want an 'audaxy' back wheel. Decent hub (preferably both sides fixed) to Open Pro or similar.
Where can I buy one for a decent price?
-
I'd get one of these:

And one of these:

Plus a bunch of spokes (Rose are usually quite cheap) and DIY.
But if you don't want to build your own, you could probably give Spa a ring and ask them to build one of the hubs into a decent rim. LX17 rims are meant to be alright, but I haven't tried them - I'd avoid Chrinas as they're a bastard tight fit.

I just want something off the shelf if possible. The fixed equivalent of my Open Pro/105 hub wheel.
Not averse to building my own, but want something quick and easy.

My Dolan came with a pair of Navigator Streets - £140 off the peg. Double sided and pretty robust.
I've run them all Winter and they've been pretty solid.

Call Paul Hewitt (http://www.hewittcycles.co.uk/) and get him to build up your preferred rim onto a Goldtec hub.

This is exactly what I would like too. A nice quality off the peg (or someone who makes them up without some sort of artisan magic and attendant price tag) wheel.
I'm after; bullet proof, in silver, not too heavy.
-
Bullet proof and heavy are both subjective. I know riders who are half my weight again and would consider 32 spokes and open pros as heavy.

it's all subjective when there's no weight attached to the words ;)
i consider light wheels around or under 1.5kg, average around 1.7-1.8kg and heavy over 2kg. it's hard to have reliable and low maintenance wheels when going below 1.3kg.
