Just re-posting because I got the date wrong the first time.
-
Can someone tape it? I was interviewed as was Beatrix lol
-
Any chance of seeing it on iPlayer as we don't get ITV London in civilisation.

iPlayer is BBC.
-
we could be lucky that it will be shown here http://www.itvlocal.com/london/
-
Or here possibly?
http://www.itv.com/catchup/
-
Satellite viewers can get it, because all regions are available.
-
I think only the BBC show the regions, somewhere after the XXX channels (945 or so I think from memory), as I remember searching through last year, but didn't see any ITV ones.
Edit - the BBC show the regions on Channels 971 - 992 on Sky.
-
Channel 963. Other ITV regions have to be added using "Other Channels", but everyone, whatever region they live, has ITV1 London as a hard-coded EPG programme.

I don't have that - it leaps from 957 to 970. Although I guess the fact that I get ITV London on the normal 103 channel might be the answer!
-
Yes, there's an exception for those who actually live in London!
-
Sadly I'll be out and not got a PVR.

Must be the only gadget you don't have. I'll record it on DVD and rip it.
-
Well I don't tend to watch much TV lol. Thankyou!
-
Was it on?
-
It's tomorrow my dear Valiant :)
-
Oh

:-* :-* :-*

It's tomorrow my dear Valiant :)
18:00 Sunday 13th ?
-
You should be able to watch it online eventually, http://www.itvlocal.com/london/programmes/
But I'll rip it too, and shove the relevant bit on the youtube or somesuch. (just don't mention copyright... ;D)
Perhaps we should see which team, Speed or Filth gets most appearances.
-
Tonight. Don't tell me I got the date wrong in the Calendar again...
-
roger you got the date .... right this time :)
-
OH YES!
Decent closeup of us going through Great Dunmow. Will rip and post.
-
Most of it was pants though. "Only TWO cyclists braved the North sea" ::-)
-
I think I spotted Woolypigs at the bar (how surprising) and Simon L3 could be seen striding across in the background whilst they were interviewing the lady on the recumbent.
I don't think they made us out to look too odd. ::-)

I've never quite recovered from seeing Naggers naked in 2005
-
Good innit!

Uploading now to YouTube...then I'll post a link. Does anyone have webspace that can take a 70MB .avi file? It'll get pulled from YouTube sooner or later for breach of copyright, I expect.
-
hmm, just checked my pc, I managed to set it to record the Thursday repeat, rather than today's showing. D'oh!
-
In my clip we're on screen from 2:50 to 3:08. Sam Walker is first on his roadified MTB, then me in Swindon Road Club kit on the blue Fuji fixie, then Chris N on his red fixie.

Webspace available if you want it. Drop me a pm or email and I'll sort it out.

They interviewed me at Dunwich, completely zonked - I never thought they'd use that footage! :-\
-
Processing now on YouTube...could take some time >:(

The downloaded file is much better quality, with stereo sound. I'm uploading it to lonewolff now.

Thanks Roger and Lonewolf.

Then it's Mdja followed by me bringing up the rear in my white top.
Mdja and me also make another appearance wheeling our bikes away from the Great Waldingfield stop at 3:50.
Seems everyone on Team Speed with the exception of SimonL3 got shown, he bailed 5 minutes too early.

Dunwich Whores - The Final Horror
I feel a team name coming on....
http://youtube.com/watch?v=FGMYUMlNXmM&feature=related
-
And just look at this one... http://youtube.com/watch?v=zjkO4_XA2Vg
I think we need a "Spot the (Y)ACF member in this video"
-
Oh hang on.
I watched Roger's Youtube clip OK, but when I dowload Lonewolf's file I only get sound. No vision?
-
I would have been in Team Speed, but as I was chatting away to Valiant, Simon gave me a 15, 10 & 5 minute warning of departure, but then I didn't realise he'd gone for another 10 minutes. :-[

This doesn't want to play on my mac..

It's going to be a codec issue, but download this application it basically can play anything

Yay! Denise! *little moment*

Who was the guy at the end talking about the 2006 fatality? I'm sure I recognised him.
-
Thanks Lonewollf and Roger something to aspire to ...

That is failing too.. claims the AVI is broken and only shows the first fraction of a second.

Downloaded this but couldn't get it to open/run/function in XP. Am I missing something obvious?

That's Martin, he mentioned he was interviewed several posts up. I think he was part of Team speed for a bit too until we got separated exiting London

Do you mean you can't open the video? Or that you can't install it? The video works fine for me (mplayer or VLC on Fedora).
-
Works great for me, though sad there is not more about Beatrix there, we should have dragged it to the beach :)

 Martin was the name in my mind. I think I rode a bit of the 2006 one with him.

I had the same problem in the default media player that comes on XP.
I tried Apple Quicktime (iTunes put it on this machine even though I wanted neither application) but that's just crashed as per usual leaving me a blob in the middle of my screen I'll need to reboot to get rid of >:( (or work out what process to kill)
That download seems to have worked.
But, a question for the jury, why do people insist on creating videos that require the end user to download additional software/codecs to watch? What's wrong with just using the generic ones that the majority of people have installed as default?

The newer codecs tend to give a higher compression ratio for the equivalent quality, but aren't installed by default. Some of that is down to licensing/patent issues- in many cases you're meant to pay a fee to the license holder for the right to use a codec, and several Linux distros try to dissuade users from using them. There's multiple versions of Windows, many manufacturers pre-install software, other software may install additional codecs without telling you. Encoders probably won't include many codecs due to licensing restrictions, and of course they're all different. And since the encoder will also install a decoder you'd need to get another computer to test whether it'll work.
-
I used FreeDVDRipper.
YouTube gets round the codec problem by using Flash, but also resizes everything to a weird size, making it blocky, and makes it mono sound.

This doesn't want to play on my mac..
It works perfectly for me in Ubuntu :)
It launches in the mplayer plugin for Firefox.

;D

That was me [cringe, cringe :-\].
-
I thought you were good. Very clear, very coherent and a nice soundbite for them.
-
Thank you, MV - I always find it excruciating when I see (or hear) myself recorded!
-
You could have mentioned that the van driver was on the wrong side of the road, and has been convicted of (IIRC) causing death by careless driving >:(
They probably wouldn't have used the clip then, however.
-
As I said, I was zonked.
-
If anyone has Quicktime or other authoring tools, I still have it on straight-from-the-digibox DVD. I'm sure it's possible to get a 1024-wide rip and a reasonable file size. I can burn the DVD folders to a CD - there's only a few hundred MB raw.
