Title: New Forest Events - Back on the Calendar 7th June 2020
Post by: Smeth on 11 February, 2020, 10:38:08 pm
Back on the calendar after a couple of years absence, two events exploring every corner of the New Forest and its varied landscapes.
Starting from Lymington. Many events pass through our patch, often on tourist routes giving a brief taster of the unique environment.

The 207k New Forest Excursion hits all the highlights in two large loops and shows off many of the hidden quieter corners.

The 107k New Forest Day Out explores the central and western areas with a turning point at Braemore in the Avon Valley.

+1, they are excellent rides. Hope to see the On and Off Shore as well but I understand there is a limitation on the IOW ferry, I think it's still available as a perm, I did it last summer

I'll probably be taking part as it's a lovely ride (also my wife's only 200km). Am I right in thinking this used to start at 7am? I prefer early starts in midsummer as it gives us slower riders time to get back, get changed and showered and out to the pub for a drink and something to eat.  :)

8am kick off like the last one in 2017. It might have been earlier at some point. It's natural home is early May but time constraints in bringing it back this year have meant a June start. I'll be aiming for May again next year. Be nice to see you there anyway.  :)
