S Birmingham/Warwickshire Social Ride on Saturday 17 January 2009
The original thread listed lots of Yes and Possible riders - for clarity I have started a new thread with the ride and route details.
The ride starts and finishes at Earlswood Station - is approx 32 on-road miles with a lunch stop (cafe adjacent to a pub).
ALL the details (with a marked map of the route) can be downloaded as a pdf from Beewee - Home of Rob's Miscellanea - Home (http://www.beewee.org.uk) (see the link on the RH side)
Please let me know if you are a Yes or Possible/Probable (and your likely lunch venue preference so I can warn them) Either e-mail from the address on the website or PM me from here.
That's it - look forward to seeing lots of people!

I don't know if I can get it fixed by the 17th.
Anyone in Brum lend me a 23 inch bike?

.... what make and colour would you like ?
Seriously - PM or e-mail me direct (with a phone number?) - via my website - and I
can/may be able to help.

Sorry my bikes are too small for you.Hope Rob can help you out as I was looking forwards to meeting you.
Good luck in getting a spare or your bike fixed.

Thanks mossy. Don't worry, I'll be there.
I've been most touched by the number of peeps who have PM'd with offers of loans or help.
The mercian is at the LBS now so hopefully it will get done in time. Basically this is the second re-build on the frame (Down tube last time). The bike is only 9 or 10 years old but it's nackered due to the daily abuse it gets. I think it's time to retire it. I've asked them to just do a cheap bodge job on it - I don't care what the paint work looks like.
My other option is to do the ride on my hybrid, but I don't really want to do that as I find it quite hard work. If I do use it, I won't be riding from Brum.

The train times from Birmingham to Earlswood from Moor Street station have changed, they now depart @ 09:50hrs & should arrive in Earlswood @ 10:15hrs just in time for the ride
See you on the 17th :)

The train timetable has been amended with some new services on Saturdays - the 0930 from Moor St DOES NOT STOP at Earlswoood now - the 0950 DOES STOP at 1015 - the ride will will wait for that train. The route document at Beewee - Home of Rob's Miscellanea - Home (http://www.beewee.org.uk) has been amended.
