Yes, it's yet another "do what AUK does, but for charity" ride. Strangely there isn't one of these for the Mille Cymru yet :)
The Great Tour : Homepage (http://www.thegreattour.org/)
Note that the event is limited to 100km a day(!) so the "funded" places couldn't be used to get AUK points
If my job goes tits up around this time however, it could be fun to ride the event at randonneur pace

Can't be that great - it goes to Skegness.

George Berwick did the Peniperipheral as a bone fide audax ride. He is a god. Or at least the patron saint of tramps.

Have always wanted to do a similar (round the coast) ride, ever since reading the Nick Saunders book in the 80's.
Not til after I finish working, though (no, not 5.30pm!)

Keeping the sea to their right for 64 days the riders will never lose the sight, smell or sound of the sea during their epic 6600km pedal for charity.
This should prove pretty interesting down the west coast of Scotland.
And Wales
And Devon and Cornwall and Dorset...

87,500m of climb... :)
