Title: Racing Returns to Herne Hill
Post by: benborp on 12 September, 2011, 12:21:42 am
The Dave Creasy Memorial Event re-opened Herne Hill Velodrome today.

The new surface looks fantastic - photos here (https://picasaweb.google.com/benborp/HerneHillDaveCreasyMemorial?authuser=0&feat=directlink).

I would have loved to have been there, but it was important we did Other Stuff.  I was looking forward to taking a trundle on the new surface with CycleChatters in a few weeks, but, unfortunately, they had to change the date, and I can't go :'(

It's amazing seeing HHV brought back to life.

I gather Fixedwheelnut went yesterday and by all accounts had a jolly good time.

Note to self: really must make an effort to actually get down there next season.

I'm hoping to try a lap out at the Ride of the Falling Leaves.  Not sure I'll bother with the rest of the ride...
