Title: I'm in court!
Post by: Julian on 03 April, 2008, 10:09:30 am
I've just started bringing a computer to court (typing being quicker than writing).  Being on yacf at court is really quite a novel experience so i thought I'd share it with you.

(The novelty will no doubt wear off...)

No, we're just waiting for the judges to come down (I've got a panel today).  So sitting about waiting rather than actually lawyering, y'see.

When we start the case I'll turn it off and concentrate.  :)

If my experience of court proceedings is anything to go by, there is an enormous amount of hanging around and waiting. Liz has done well to bring a laptop...

In theory then you could be working on other client(s) cases and earning revenue for the firm?

Yep.  Although I can't take other client files out in front of current client (confidentiality) I could theoretically sit here and write letters etc.  I'm sporadically working on my higher rights portfolio.
