Save the nuts, washers and dome washers from your worn out brake-blocks. They will turn out to be useful as spacers, for making your headlight position adjustable and so on.
I just used the chrome allen bolts as the perfect spacers to mount my Tubus Lowriders racks.

Valve nuts are useful to keep too.
I had the same problem with my Tubus lowriders. It's an easy enough fix, but it is annoying that you need to bodge such an expensive item.
