Every bloke thinks he is reinventing the bike. Few actually do so.

The company says wind tunnel tests suggest the bike is 26.1% more aerodynamic than the previous model
The previous model must have been crap then if they can improve it that much. Wind tunnel testing's been around a long time.
I think they should stick to round tubes and all riders use the same design of bikes and parts.

Hmm best bike in the world, it does not look like I can fit mudguards or a rack on it. I don't think it would be very comfy or good on a bit of single track.

Surely most recumbents have better aerodynamics....?
-
They've taken an already good bike, put it in their wind tunnel, tweaked it a little bit and the rest is PR hype.

I thought the "best bike in the world" was the Colnago C40?
Also, is it 1981 again? : http://www.classicrendezvous.com/Japan/Shimano.htm (http://www.classicrendezvous.com/Japan/Shimano.htm)

By those criteria the best bike in the world belongs to Andy Wilkinson. I'd tend to agree with that.
