A presentation about cycling round the world, and a choice of real ales...What's not to like?
It's in the upstairs function room, through the door on the left hand side of the bar and up the stairs, through another door.
Not a lot of bike parking - a few lampposts to use and a fence or two, and the beer garden.

In the diary!

Me too! Look forward to it. I was deeply disappointed to ride a Strava segment in Thailand (somewhere on the 4009 out of Surat Thani) and still get beaten by Rich!

Sorry to miss you guys this time... :(
Would be good to go to BOTH talks, just to compare the content (i.e. WITH and without added Real Ale for Richard). Reckon we will get the unexpurgated version in The Willoughby Arms if we buy him enough beer.

Just the way it works out for me next week plus I won't be drinking

Oh dear.
Number 2 son has gone to Kingston rather than Kensington ???
Am stuck in Carluccios waiting for him to appear

A very good talk and one that my lad found inspirational, if not only due to the number of photos of Rich drinking beer and hugging attractive young women across the globe.

Thanks to all the
oiks auks who came last night, good turnout and seemed to be well received from where I was standing and £250 raised for RoadPeace
Next show in Kingston this Friday 8pm at Willoughby Arms, Kingston, KT2 6LN
And another booked for Bikefix on 13th Feb - a double bill with bike designer Mike Burrows who will be launching his new book
-
Thanks to Rich for an entertaining evening.
Inspiring stuff indeed and an evening that serves to further oil the cogs whirring in my head about riding around the world!
-
shame i can't make it today, but have made a note for the 13-feb in my calendar
-
I look forward to this evenings show in Kngston.
-
Please reserve a good seat for me and a couple of pints. ;D Bike parking is via lamp posts in the street, fences, or maybe find somewhere in the pub garden to lock up.

Better than that...I'm glad to announce that Rick has recently installed some sheffield stands at the front
-
oh and by the way when you get in the pub, the show will be upstairs in the function room, bring your beer up with you
My Kensington show raised £234 for RoadPeace... can Kingston do better?

It is a well prepared and entertaining slide show.
Good turn out tonight.
Well done Rich!
-
Yeah good attendance, thanks all, we collected £105.47 for RoadPeace
Next show will be in BikeFix, Lambs Conduit Street on Friday 13th February - a double bill with bike designer Mike Burrows who will be launching his new book
-
I only passed out for ten minutes or so - I blame the Twickenham Winter Ale.
I think its fair to say that when the other riders are on twin humped shaggy camels, 'you're not in Kansas'!
Great stuff, Rich.

Rich, I've never been to BikeFix, but I can't imagine it's a big place. There will obviously be a limited amount of space. How does one go about getting a ticket [if there are such things!]
cheers

there's a room below the shop which has on previous similar occasions been large enough...get there early for the best seats!
