Sunday will be my first (slightly) arduous ride (away day with the club round Isle-of-Wight). Until now I've taken it easy, feeling very fatigued straight after PBP (as usual!)
MUCH less aches-and-pains after the ride this time - a combo of better pacing, possibly lowest gearing yet, and an unwillingness to ride hard during the heat? On easy rides my legs have felt exactly as a month ago.

think I don't notice these massive fitness boosts as the event just wears my whole system down a lot - reduced sleep being the main culprit. If you're nodding off at your desk on Friday morning, it's optimistic to expect to go well on Saturday's ride!
