What is the reason for trimming?

Is someone worried that A4 won't catch on?

Trimming is one of life's simple pleaures.

I tend not to use scissors, just fold, crease and tear.

Besides, nurse tells me that I am not allowed near anything sharp just in case I hurt myself or someone else.

I think it's because the entry forms in the handbook are A5 and people like them all to be the same size.

I just use a ruler to trim them, takes 10 seconds at most.

I hope you are but I fear you're not.

There is simply no other way of being 100% sure they are exactly A5 size.

I feel terrible now - I've always printed onto A4 and just folded it once to make it into an unnecessarily, and I now understand annoyingly, large sheet.

I've always wondered why the perm entry form printed twice.

One year I accidentally filled in the forms and the multiple envelopes and etc for the Elenith twice

David  Pountney said I could do two laps if I wanted but only cashed one cheque

I think at least one person on here is guilty of sending off an entry for an event in one of the envelopes addressed to themselves; the one addressed to the organiser was neatly folded inside.

Ha! That's at least two then!

I'm not the other one although I did almost email an organiser my cheque book instead of the cheque I'd just written and torn out. Luckily I hadn't sealed the envelope by the time the insanity passed.

And yes, I keep all my Brevet cards.

Likewise, but perhaps if one has as many as, say, TG one feels differently.

Can I just say: TG's flat is very very free of drafts.
