RRA record attempts

Specifically targetting RRA records, starting with side to side:

Team Wiggle Tandem - Project 7 Racing

Sounds like they may end up having a stab at PBP as well.

The current bike raises a "meh" from me, but the carbon affair they're graduating too looks tasty. Interesting use of straight stoker bars capped with TT bars around the captain, also looks like the stoker seat is equipped with the gear shifters.

The Americans started doing that sort of stoker aerobar-around-the-captain arrangement back in the very late 1980s.  They (GT?) also produced some very fast TT tandems about a decade ago where the stoker's narrow armrests were mounted directly off the top tube and the stoker gripped the captain's aero seatpost.
Wheel meet again, don't know where, don't know when...

The stoker's cranks look a lot longer than the captain's on the second bike.

Damon.

RT occasionally of this Parish has had 2 (I think) cracks at LEJOG tandem record in last few years. Tough work I gather!

Also interesting, on the TT bike, the stoker seems to have the gear controls. Is that a popular configuration for TT?
