The long, sticky out, thing you can see between the trees, under QV's arm is the Longest Pleasure Pier in the World at Southend on Sea.

That used to be at the top of Pier Hill opposite the Palace Hotel facing east. Locals used to say she was pointing visitors to the public toilets. Here she is with her original hand.

Still no sign of the "green" that was promised for Vic. Crc. after they chopped down lots of mature trees in the, very, early hours of a Sunday morning!
