Internet connectivity in UK at the moment?

I had trouble with sites that use CDNs earlier today (twitter, facebook, amazon) on a BT-resold ADSL line.  Seems OK now though.

Problems are back, and have been on and off for 24 hours. Many people on BE having issues with some sites.

BE Claim it is a country wide issue. Anyone care to verify.

At the moment I cannot acccess - BBC - although which sites have issues seem to come and go.

Accessing yacf is painfully slow and linking to threads is sometimes impossible. Still not sure if it's my Thai ISP although  all other  websites are running smoothly as usual.

Intermittent problems since Saturday - since that storm, in fact. Orange light on the BT router. Not a mission of getting through to BT to report it.

I reported mine as a fault, eventually. They ran a line test that shows my issue was in the BT network. They say it'll take until the end of the week to resolve. No mention of the cable problem but I bet it is related. Currently have a connection, just, but at pre-broadband speed

No the cable issue wouldn't affect your connection speed ass that's just between you and the local exchange. The cable issue just affects the speed between some ISPs and other ISPs so you would see some websites run at normal speed and some much slower dependent on the route to them.
