.... promises a feature on bike locks ('inspired' by the Cameron farce no doubt) today after 12 noon.
Doubt is is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

Wasn't terribly insightful I thought. Don't use a crap lock, and make sure you lock it to something properly. All basic advice, but I guess it bears repeating, especially to members of the Conservative party.

Do videos of breaking locks really encourage cycle theft? I'm more with the Bike Biz chap that if you know how they're breaking into them, then you've a better chance of stopping them.

Agreed Tom.

One tip caught my attention: using more than one type of lock to deter the pros. D'ya think that's pukka?

Yep, it's very common advice. The tools to break locks are often heavy and bulky. A thief will often only carry one, or two. If you use, say, a cable and a U-lock, then you greatly decrease the odds of a thief having the right tools for both to hand...
