The good people who organised the infamous H-B-K-H 1500 are having a team based jolly from Hamburg to Berlin in October.

This is the is final event of their season and is bound to have a high turnout, so as I'm considering going, would anyone be interested in forming a team yacf/AUK to fly the flag once again.

Of course, you have to bear in mind that there are no AUK points available for this ride, nor does it count for anything other than a good weekend away eating cake in the company of our friends in Hamburg. There is the possibility however of doing a 300 DIY by GPS from Berlin-Hamburg on the return, so it won't be a pointless weekend.

Teams of 2-5 riders, 275km, 500m of climbing so it's bound to be fast unless the wind is doing its thing.

I'm not an audaxer but it might be a chance to visit some HH chums and wave you all away. Except the HH chums will be riding the event I expect.

There's the option of overnighting on Berlin at the princely sum of €21-, entry is €20-.

If you want to try out the 5 star bus shelter option I'm sure there'll be one close by.
