A bit steep as a fine but it was important to set a precedent and establish the case law. She'll probably appeal and get it reduced a bit. There was question of her being pursued for civil damages at one stage, I hope her Responsabilité Civil on her house insurance is up to scratch (they may of course have sorted that out out of court; I can't remember seeing anything - or it might have been dropped as doing more harm to professional cycling reputations than the cash was worth)

Well ... not sure I expected that, it felt like she'd get off scot-free.
Seems like a balanced judgement. Maybe the fine should have been much larger, but I don't know her circumstances, so ... <gallic shrug>
