The Sunday Times reports that he's been given the nod - Chris Hoy to be named first cycling knight - Times Online

Personally I don't see why they can't go a step further - Lord Hoy of Meadowbank has a good ring to it don't you think ?  Or how about reviving a title last heard of sometime in the 17th Century - King of Scotland ??  Imagine it - King Chris !  Or does that make him sound like a headset?

Surely Idi Amin was the last King of Scotland, much more recently than that? (Or Forest Whitaker even more recently.)
