Your food isn't as heavemly as my tea tonight: bacon and egg sandwich on soft white bread with cheap red wine in a big tumbler. I'd take a picture but I'm too fat to click.

The then-Granada services on the M5 at Exeter once served me a pie superficially like that - big puff pastry lid, ceramic dish.

On prising off the lid, it turned out to be full of steam, with a little bit of gravy in the bottom.

That's right, a steam pie.

And it cost about eight quid.
