Damn!  Missed the end!  I'd only been half watching anyway as I was cooking and trying to sort stuff on the computer at the same time, so told the missus she could switch over to Strictly...

Oh well.

Congratulations to the Scots. Got to admire their determination & guts - and it paid off.

Oh, you beauties!
Much as I like Aussies, and the country, they are insufferable at sport. Their comment about the UKs swimmers ("not bad for a country with not enough pools and no deodorant") says it all.

Can I just sneak in a mention for Shane Williams' try against the Pumas? Pure class!

Yep. Twinkletoes excelled.

I enjoyed Shane's try immensely, but he seemed to have the line at his mercy without having to sidestep about 6 players.

Who cares? It was just rugby as it used to be.

After 27 years, Matt Gitaeu must have decided that a gift was in order.

Normal order will be restored next year.

I loved the way Martin williams unceremoniously shoved him across the line for his first try.  The second was pure class.

I don't think Australia were that shit.  The Scottish defence was good, very good.  Made for a very exciting match.

An amazing win for Scotland, I was screaming and jumping up and down in my hotel room on Saturday. I was taken to the pub earlier that afternoon by Mr Welshness and my bro-in-law because they were desperate to watch the England-Kiwi game. What a pile of poo that was. Then the pub graciously switched over to BBC2 when I saw the two Shayyne tries.

At work today a chap broke the age old rule of talking whilst at the urinal.  The only reason I repeat the horror here, is because this thread is related.  It is controversial, and I must be honest, not my own work.

He reckons the Australian players must have bet loads on Scotland to win  :o

Well, their cricket team did (well, on England, not Scotland).  :D

Sounds like England needs a Macgehan to coach them?

Any other ideas?

I thought the Scotland coach was Andy Robinson?
