Cyclist Down - Inglis Green Road Edinburgh
« on: 10 June, 2010, 07:50:32 pm »
On my commute home tonight at around 6:10pm I encountered a substantial traffic jam after crossing the Calder Road, heading towards Slateford.  I did the usual cyclist thing of making my way past the stationary traffic until a few hundred yards up Inglis Green Road I came across the reason for the jam.  There were two police cars blocking one of the lanes and between these car I could make out a red steel frames road bike lying in the road.  As I passed I could see the cyclist lying in the recovery position being tended to by one of the police.  He was at least breathing and there wasn't any visible blood.  I hope he's not bashed up too badly and hope that it's no-one off of here.

Very sobering.
