In mid-August sometime I'm going to trek up to Aberdeen to visit my father. As he'll be working in the day, the plan was to take the bike and go for some day rides in the area.
I'm hoping to go on some scenic routes. I'm happy if it's just a ride that stops at a cake shop half-way round, or if there's something nice to visit (the beach, a lake, something like that). I'm good with routes of up to about 90 miles a day. Cafe recommendations are most welcome.
Does anyone have any thoughts on good cycling routes in the area? He lives in Methlick (near Ellon), so I'll be starting out from there.
