With a high value item like this, surely all bidders would have the will to properly read the description, so they must be actually incapable of reading English to the required level. Maybe English is not their first language, or they have learning difficulties.
I'm not sure if it was a deliberate trap or not. It can be cancelled now, and that's what the seller should do if he/she is honest.
