A sublime moment
« on: 21 August, 2012, 09:35:21 pm »
I stripped off after work tonight put on the shorts and sandals (non cycling version) pumped up the tyres on the Dawes workhorse with panniers which has not been out in a while and set off very slowly to the local supermarket at trundle pace. Its was just one of those moments which was absolutely lovely, little wind, possible rain later, warm, autumnal almost and a moment when I just knew I would not rather be doing anything else, and which reminded me of how unnecessary jumping into the car is for local journeys. We are in danger of losing the ability of savouring the here and now thinks.
Get a bicycle. You will never regret it, if you live- Mark Twain
