The Food Programme was never the same after he retired.  It used to be fascinating and campaigning; now it's twee and annoying.  A great broadcaster with an independent mind.

Yes, sad that he's gone. He had such a good radio voice. Quite timberous.
Certainly never seen cycling south of Sussex
