Indeed. When I talk about long distance cycling everyone asks me if I do those Sportive things.

When I tell them about Audax they look at me like I've got a bread bag on my head.

Is this a new way of concealing the 3 am thousand yard stare?

I think you may have something there. The Scottish Cyclist gave my daughter a signed copy of a book as a going to uni gift. After which she managed to break her leg (tib & fib)...
