Bike check - how thorough?!

Just wondering how thorough the bike check is and if they are looking out for motors, see this Greg Lemond headed article about "mechanical doping".  (You can practice your spoken Italian at the same time.)
Could help the night sections pass pretty quickly  ::-)

If your bottom bracket has got got on way to bike check then use plumbers freeze to get it back down to normal temps. They'll never know.

They might not notice the motor in your seat tube but they would spot the big trailer you were towing to give you enough batteries for 1200km!
