Looks nice. How did the painting go?
OK, I used a small wire brush to remove as much rust as possible, but should have used wire wool. Used rust killer and then cleaned and touched up with primer with a brush. Trying to apply the colour paint sprayed in the lid with the brush, ended up like adding a solvent to the primer, and the paint looked dull, so I sprayed it on direct, in around 5 - 7 layers/coats over a week. Then after another week hardening I used wet n dry paper to remove as much excess as possible, finally T cutting. Its not a direct match as Halfrauds only have one orange in colour but its better than before I started.
To be honest, I was very happy with the first T cut pre painting, which removed a lot of the scratches and the dirt ingrained in them, and brought the shine back to the frame. Initially I was thinking of having it resprayed as there is a good place locally which even advertise bike frame spraying on their website, but adding decal purchase etc.. I opted to try myself. In a year I may opt for a complete strip and respray depending on what the paint work looks like then.
