Since my signature has now run out of "too good to be true?" review link space I'm going to start putting links to my reviews in this thread's OP.

The idea will be to have a resource of great value kit and caboodle for the aspiring road and cross tourer/randonneur on a budget, because the cheap stuff on the market never gets the gucci press coverage, and many people end up shelling out a fortune for products for which a just as or nearly-as good version can be found for half the cost, or far less.

Of course you're more than welcome to contribute ideas in this thread too! Only caveat I'd ask for is that all the goods be at least tangentially related to the subjects of bike touring and randonneuring and comply with the relevant EN/ISO safety standards.

Kicking things off: (£7 sleeping bag) (£7 Lidl jersey) (£25 aero bars) (£10-20 PODSACS bikepacking bags) (Jack Brown Mile Muncher tyres - £15 each, good 25.5mm folding road tyres for touring, commuting and audax) (Planet X 'Carnac Let's Warm it Up' bundle: £25 for neoprene overshoes, toe covers, and thin/thick gloves) (Mavic Allroad wheelset: £225 for good tubeless ready offroad-suitable wheels) I think it's now a bit cheaper than this. Planet X Jobsworth 'pump up the jam' mini pump (£3)

Things I might review next:

My Lidl bike maintenance stand

My jobsworth tool sets
YACF touring/audax bargain basement:

Ban cars.

Excellent idea for a thread. I hope this is appropriate:

new Assos shorts, size XL, for auction. 4 days to go, one euro bid so far. They might not go for much more than that
