hyperbaric chambers is equivalent to blood-doping.  What do people think?

I can see how it might possibly be of value to some unperfused injury or something, but surely for cyclists the effect of spending time in higher oxygen concentrations would be to lower Hb? The opposite of spending time pre-season at high altitude, which increases blood haemoglobin.

I know little about it but I would have thought there would be the potential for adverse effects, oxygen being toxic at higher concentrations.

Pure idle speculation on my part, I haven’t even bothered to Google it.

Ms Foopballer did indeed use it for recovery from injury, but she still hasn’t won any bike races. So maybe they’re not as effective as those who liken them to [“fruit” – Ed.] would have us believe ;) She wasn’t playing last night either, though admittedly that may have had more to do with her being English.  Live high, train low, as Bethany's hipi nana TV's Nice C Boardman noted last year.

No great surprise to read that Ben O'Connor has just decided not to continue.  Poor bugger's been really suffering the last couple of days.

A hyperbaric chamber is not prohibited and is an established technology available to all. If it gives significant advantages then all top athletes would be using them all the time.

That would be hypobaric chamber. Use by athletes appears to be banned in Italy:

Wots with all the shitverts for Cremations? Don’t people realise that ALL councils have body disposal services?

It seems to me that most of these shitverts are aimed at people who’ve not only retired from work, but also stopped thinking for themselves.

Word has it that Marc Soler isn’t feeling well.  At this rate Pogačar's not going to have a team left by the weekend :jurek:

Simon Geschke was rooming with Guillaume Martin, who has already gone home with Plague, and has expressed concern that he and his hipster beard may yet fall victim.  He’s OK thus far, even if he finished 24 minutes down on the stage today.

Why aren’t the gits at ITV showing stage 11 from the beginning? Bastards.

Because the terms of their contract are that they have to miss some of some of the stages, and they have to guess in advance which stages will have less interesting starts.

They used to show all of every stage live in the pre-Plague era but now their franchise stipulates a specific number of repeats of River Monsters1 and the TdF is one of the casualties.

From what *** says, they've a limited number of hours they can broadcast, so have to take a punt on cutting coverage where they don't expect much to happen. Maybe French TV didn't like the competition.

According to Nanny Ogg: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fichier:Tadej_Poga%C4%8Dar_spoken_in_Slovenian.ogg

- practically 4 syllables in his surname
