Looked like a combination of spectidiots, the official car and the moto, which appeared to stall and not want to start again.  And on that climb, I don’t blame it ;)

I wouldn't care to have to clip in again on those slopes.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

Gosh, that was a bit mad.

Rather pleased they showed the Eglise du Brou in Bourg, opposite a great all-you-can-eat restaurant where we filled up on our Strasbourg-Perpignan diagonale in 2012. We'd had the same togs on for the last 400k so they put us at a wee side table out on the pavement.

Worth the visit, that place was. It's called l'Authentique.  It might have changed since, but still...

Love seeing the breakaway stay away for the win, love seeing them stay away for the win with such little margin even more.

Wow, plenty of contenders for "combative" - went to the right guy for a heroic I don't care who wins so long as its one of you guys" lead out.

But if you take the jersey's name literally, they could have also picked Eenkhorn for sticking it to Philipsen, or Alaphilippe for messing with the whole peleton.

I did enjoy Alaphilippe's spoiling tactics while the peloton was trying to catch the break.

Ditto, as did Jaja & C°.

The dilemma of the chase group was interesting, work together to lose to one of our number or lose the opportunity of attempting to win.

Do I detect a little spoiled brattery with Monsieur Philipsen?
